Today is Sunday and that dam cold bug took me under last night...
Reflections....
In 2 days will be the 2nd most significant day in American History. November 4, 2008 being the first. After watching the Inaugural Celebration at The Lincoln Memorial and watching all the performers... it feels good to not just be an American but a Black American.
I am disappointed because I wanted to take my kids to be apart of this historical week. But since I could not I am allowing them to stay home so they can witness history first hand, although there school was doing a field trip to the inauguration I didnt know if they had made arrangements for the kids who would still be home to watch the inauguration.
I know emotionally I didnt feel it in November, but in 2 days I know that I will be overcome with the tears of joy, because in 2 days BARACK OBAMA will officially be the 44th President of the United States, and not just the President-Elect.
